David Broadbent

David Broadbent is President of SES Space & Defense, where he drives U.S. government-related strategy and commercial activities. SES Space & Defense is SES’s wholly-owned subsidiary focused on delivering satellite solutions to the U.S. government. SES Space & Defense operates under a Proxy Board.

David was the president of Intelsat’s Space Systems business unit since November 2023. Before that, David was with Raytheon for over 20 years in various senior business development, supply chain management, and financial planning roles. Prior to Raytheon, he worked with Vickers Defence Systems in engineering design, supply chain, and programme management in both Germany and the UK.

David earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Newcastle University and completed his postgraduate studies in contract law at Northumbria University.
