Augustus Kamitu

Augustus is an astute technical and solution sales professional with over 15 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. His role at SES encompasses all sales activities, customer relations and business development across Africa region working closely with Governments, Mobile Network Operators, Telcos, Carriers and ISPs.

Prior to joining SES, Augustus worked with Avanti Communications Group PLC (London, UK 2018-Nov 2019, as a Regional Sales Manager, East Africa), Thuraya Telecommunications Company (UAE, 2014-2018, as a Sales Manager Africa) and Safaricom PLC (Kenya, 2007-2014, as Enterprise Sales Manager).

Augustus has built a reputation for augmenting compelling and successful business partnerships, developing winning business strategies, incubating new business models and building out channel programs across Africa.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Kenya, among other professional certifications such as Cisco Sales Expert, ArcGIS and Introduction to GPS, and is most fulfilled when helping people and organizations grow and achieve their goals.
