Space & Defense
SES Space & Defense is a wholly owned subsidiary focused exclusively on building, managing, and supporting advanced satellite network solutions for governmental institutions. SES Space & Defense brings together a proven multi-operator network integration and management capability, an extensive global terrestrial network, and a multi-orbit satellite fleet.

Strategy
Strategy defines our direction and drives our competitive edge. The team develops the roadmaps that guide SES forward, optimizes how we allocate resources, and provides the market intelligence that takes us above and beyond the competition.
Strategy department focus areas:
- Developing the overall strategy for the organization, defining direction, positioning, and differentiation in the markets.
- Recommending the best paths and optimizing capital allocation for improving organizational capabilities.
- Developing a strategic execution framework: a simplified action plan that tracks and measures progress and accountability.
- Communicating the strategy effectively to internal and external audiences, in partnership with our Communications, Investor Relations, and People & Culture departments.
- Producing market and competitive intelligence and analysis, extracting insights from internal data.
Legal
The Legal function provides legal support to all SES departments. As an integral part of corporate governance (including compliance), Legal supports all customer contracting, procurement and vendor management activities. It also supports business development on transactional activities, facilitates government advocacy, and secures applicable licensing and market access.
Product & Innovation
The Product & Innovation team generates, creates, and delivers new experiences, platforms, and assets for both SES and our customers.

Vertical Markets
The Vertical Markets team drives commercial excellence and profitable business growth across our four market verticals: Media, Fixed Data, Mobility and Government. The department also aims to improve the end-to-end customer experience, optimize go-to-market strategies, and execute growth initiatives for each vertical, and includes Commercial Operations, Yield Excellence and Marketing & Communications.
