Jan Erik Kjaer

Jan Erik Kjaer has more than 30 years of experience within IT business in the international telecommunications industry. He has been in the satellite communications sector most of his career and rejoined the Marlink Group in 2017 as consultant in business development, before taking the role of Senior Vice President for the Humanitarian segment. Jan Erik specialises in tailored hybrid end-to-end network solutions, catering for all communication needs for missions ranging from general daily operations to emergency response, disaster relief and sustainable development. He knows all about the challenges his customers face in their daily work and his prime focus is managed networks as a service, proactively taking responsibility for integrating everything for the customer, from handling critical data and IT, network security, application-based routing via SD-WAN, to cloud services and network management.

Jan Erik has worked in top management positions inside several international IT and telecom companies in Europe and US, serving large companies with satcoms/MPLS solutions in markets such as Maritime, Oil & Gas, UN, NGO, Government, Bank, Finance, World Bank, and NATO.

As a Norwegian citizen, Jan Erik graduated within Economics, marketing, analysis and statistics at the Norwegian Business School.
