
Jack Deasy
VP Market Segment Solutions SESJack leads the strategy, development and positioning of SES Networks’ products, services and solutions for governments and humanitarian response organizations. He was previously Vice President for SES Networks Global Government Sales and Vice President for O3b Networks Government Sales, having joined O3b in January 2013 as a government sales director. From 2003 – 2013, Jack worked at Inmarsat where he led business development activities for public safety/disaster response and aeronautical and UAV programs.
From 2001 - 2003, Jack was an International Bureau manager and Latin American telecommunications specialist at the U.S. Federal Communications Commission. From 1984 – 2000, he served as a Foreign Service Officer, with diplomatic tours at U.S. embassies in Colombia, the United Kingdom and Chile. At the State Department, Jack also served as desk officer for Argentina, political-military specialist on the Soviet Desk, and director for Western Hemisphere telecommunications policy. In the latter position, he led several public-private delegations to the Inter-American Telecommunications Commission (CITEL).
Jack is a 1983 graduate of the College of the Holy Cross (Worcester, MA) and has done graduate work in geography and geographic information systems at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro and Pennsylvania State University. Since 2009, he has been an adjunct faculty member in the Homeland Security graduate program at San Diego State University (San Diego, CA)
