Carlos Gutierrez

Carlos Gutierrez is Head of Telco Portfolio and Solution at SES, world’s leading provider of satellite communication services.

His recent work has focused on defining and communicating SES’s next-gen services based on O3b MEO and its newer generation O3b mPOWER for telcos, mobile network operators and internet service providers, across urban and rural locations. Since joining SES in 2014, he has taken multiple roles within the company, from leading the marketing area for Latin America, to supporting Latin America North & Caribbean as Sales Director up to 2021 when he relocated to the Washington D.C. office, now being a key contributor to the development of SES’s portfolio of services for the fixed data segment.

Prior to SES, Carlos served as Marketing and Foreign Trade head for a cross-regional Latin America IT solutions company.

Originally from Colombia, Carlos lived in Mexico for 10 years and became Mexican, before moving to the D.C. area. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia. He’s married and has 3 children.
