At SES, we believe our customers are best served with satellites operating in multiple orbits to maximise service options tailored to their specific requirements. In addition to having GEO satellites, we also operate a constellation of O3b satellites in the medium earth orbit (MEO) today to deliver global connectivity services to our customers around the world.

In 2017, we announced our next-generation MEO system – O3b mPOWER. The O3b mPOWER communications system comprises an initial constellation of seven high-performance satellites, intelligent software and extensive ground infrastructure, and will launch in 2021.

We work with various technology partners ranging from satellite manufacturer and launcher to software companies and modem partners to deliver cloud-scale connectivity services for market segments such as telecommunications, maritime, aeronautical, energy, as well as governments and institutions around the world.
