Carefully, the new SES WORLD SKIES' satellite is heaved out of the thermal vacuum chamber following environmental testing.
NSS-12 was constructed at the Space Systems/Loral satellite manufacturing facility in Palo Alto, California.
"NSS-12 marks the first Space Systems/Loral launch for the SES Group," said Martin Halliwell, President of SES ENGINEERING.
NSS-12 features 40 C-band transponders and 48 Ku-band transponders with DTH power levels, as well as elaborate beam interconnectivity and C-/Ku-band cross-strapping.
NSS-12 with its reflectors open in the Compact Antenna Test Range (CATR).
