Corporate social responsibility

SES regularly implements a range of corporate social responsibility projects and activities in geographic areas where the company has commercial activities, provides communication services or otherwise interacts with local communities.

A focus on education

Our CSR policy is primarily aimed at supporting educational projects and reflects SES’ position as a leading provider of global communications infrastructure and services.

We believe that we have a responsibility to support projects that contribute to the development of a communications-based society and a knowledge-based economy. Progress in this area will lead to more resilient and flexible economic structures, will contribute to social mobility and to the emergence of more sustainable economic development models.

Educational projects represented 89% of the company’s total CSR spending for the year 2012.
