Last week, Singapore set the stage for the CASBAA Satellite Industry forum and the CommunicAsia Exhibition and Conference. Our many activities included two keynotes, a customer event, panel participations, TV interviews and a press event. The events attracted the attention of many industry delegates, providing the regional team in Asia-Pacific with a platform to meet with customers and prospects.
The CASBAA Satellite Industry Forum, which took place on June 16, is an annual gathering of leading industry players in the satellite sector. This year's event examined the relevance of the satellite industry as technologies and consumer habits continue to evolve at a rapid pace.
SES shaped the debate with a keynote speech by our President and CEO Karim Michel Sabbagh, on the evolving significance of satellite technology and game-changing developments impacting our industry.
Closely following CASBAA, CommunicAsia took place on 17 - 20 June. With nearly 2,000 exhibitors from more than 50 countries/regions across the world, this event is Asia’s most established ICT, broadcast and digital multimedia event.
At the booth, we showcased our latest innovations, tailored to address evolving business needs. In the focus: how our coverage, global reach and satellites enable capitalisation on new growth opportunities in direct-to-home (DTH) and data services – in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
These topics were highlighted through SES-9 “the next addition to our Asia-Pacific fleet, is set to expand the provision of DTH and mobility communications in the region” and SAT>IP “making the delivery of satellite TV to multiple devices commercially viable, while ensuring crystal clear picture quality”.
