Upcoming Launches:


  • ASTRA 2G will become the third satellite co-located in the 28.2°E neighborhood
  • Feature Ku and Ka coverage over Europe, the Middle East and Africa
  • In particular, this satellite will provide a valuable link between West Africa and Europe for next generation TV, enterprise and broadband services
  • The launch date is set for Q1 in 2014


  • ASTRA 5B has its planned launch into the 31.5°E neighborhood in the coming weeks from Kourou in French Guiana
  • This satellite will host both Ku and Ka capacity and will deliver enhanced reach across eastern Europe, beaming into the Russian Federation as far as the Ural mountains
  • It will be ideal for broadcasters keen to attract audiences throughout this fast-developing region. DTH, cable and contribution feeds to digital terrestrial television networks all will be enabled with this new high power spacecraft
  • Will also carry a hosted L-band payload for the European Commission's European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS)
  • Launch date is set for Q1 in 2014
